So you’re a little stressed out. Things are getting a little overwhelming with bills, student loans, looking into home security systems, etc. You need some comfort food but before you settle on some typical junk food you ought to consider a healthy alternative – how about pizza? Believe it or not, you can make a healthy pizza and, best of all, it tastes great. Have your cake and eat it too with this fantastic recipe.

Serving How Many:
This pizza serves FOUR! Two if they are really hungry.

What You’ll need:
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 ounces of chicken
- A pinch of ground pepper
- 3 medium-sized tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal
- 10 ounces of refrigerated pizza dough
- Non-stick cooking spray
- 12-inch pizza pan

What to do:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

2. Cook and chop that chicken into cubes and thinly-slice those tomatoes.

3. Get an even film of non-stick cooking spray on the 12-inch pizza pan and then put a little cornmeal on top. This will help you retrieve the pizza from the pan, hopefully without too much sticking.

4. Now press the dough into the pan, make sure you spread it evenly.

5. Next comes the fun part, arrange the chicken and tomato on the dough. Then put some pepper and cheese on top.

6. Bake for 18 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.

7. Let it cool – then enjoy.

Some people dread rainy days. They leave people stuck inside, perhaps with wild kids, and bored. I, however, love rainy days, and look forward to each one I receive. On those days, I get to stay inside, and heat up my oven to bake, warming my whole house, and providing the cozy atmosphere I long for.

I love the smell of freshly baked bread, and it is especially appealing when it’s raining. My husband comes home from work, a little wet, and shouts for joy, because he also loves fresh, warm bread. Another great treat to make is chocolate chip cookies. When the kids come home from school, they can grab a glass of milk and a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie. Staying along the lines of sweets, brownies are another great option for rainy-day baking. The chocolate goodness can melt away the blues and give a little energy to keep baking the day away. Who doesn’t love a warm mug of hot chocolate? With a little extra time inside, don’t use a hot chocolate mix, cook up your own and you’ll never want to go back. Finally, soup will be a welcome dinner for your husband and anyone else coming home at the end of a long, wet day.

The next time you get a rainy day, embrace it and spend it in your kitchen.

When asking someone if they like pizza, you will almost always receive a “yes” answer. Pizza is a favorite food, which would explain the different pizza places all over the country. However, pizza is a great homemade dinner. Sometimes it can be hard to come up with different toppings for your pizza, and a great time to experiment is during the summer. You can find great toppings straight from your garden, including green onions, peppers, tomatos, squash. I personally don’t have a garden, but I am the blessed recipient of produce from my neighbor’s gardens. Also, in the summer time, you can get these ingredients fairly inexpensively, because they are grown so abundantly. Other great summer toppings are olives, ham, and canned chicken.

One of my favorite pizzas in the summer time is called “Three-Cheese Pizza”. This pizza doesn’t use a normal pizza sauce. Instead you spread just two tablespoons of vegetable oil over your pizza crust. Then top it with sliced zucchini, chopped tomatos, and diced onions, all grown during the summer months. The three cheeses you then spread over it are mozzarella, cheddar, and parmesan. It is a delicious pizza and perfect for those lazy, hot summer days.

Pizza is a food that never goes out of style, and you can use seasonal foods all through the year when you make it.
The first thing you will start with is the crust. If you like a traditional pizza, you can make the crust out of flour. Or if you want to get into the fall season, you can use a pumpkin bread mix in order to give the pizza a spicy flavor. Then you will add your sauce. Tomatoes are out of the growing season, but you can still get them at grocery stores. However, if you want to try something different, use a cream cheese icing on top of the crust.

Want more? Click here. This will taste better if you used the pumpkin bread mix. If you happen to be fixing pizza for children, add a little fun to the pizza you make. Top the pizza with chocolate chips, Halloween colored candies like candy corn and sprinkles, and drizzle it with chocolate. For the adults, you might want to try slices of yellow squash or sweet potatoes on a crust made of flour. If you use the pumpkin bread, then add slices of sweet potato or apples to give your pizza a fall flavor.

Pizza is one of America’s favorite foods. There are countless ways to build your pizza. Try one of these tasty alternatives next time you make your own pizza.

Ranch dressing is great alternative to traditional tomato sauce. Ranch dressing can add zest to your pie and compliments a chicken pizza, or a southwestern pizza with black beans, corn, and a cheddar cheese blend.

Alfredo sauce is great when you are looking to make a heartier pie. Alfredo works well with vegetable toppings, but can also be used with a blackened chicken or shrimp.

A pizza without any type of sauce can be truly delectable.Never heard of this before? Get up to speed here. Use a blend of cheeses like mozzarella, provolone, and ricotta to make a delicious white pizza.

Vodka sauce makes a tasty pizza. Use pasta coated with vodka sauce as a topping or just put the sauce down on the dough, and sprinkle on some cheese. Either way, you will have made an incredible pizza.

Brown gravy makes for an interesting sauce alternative. Try some brown gravy and mozzarella cheese on top of your pizza dough. For a more daring pizza, add some french fries underneath the cheese for a unique disco fries pizza.

Barbecue sauce adds a tangy flavor that will make for a tempting treat. Add chicken, bacon, cheddar, and veggies for a specialty pizza you won’t forget.

Try a delicious pesto pizza. Brush the dough with some pesto sauce, add your favorite toppings, and enjoy.

For a non-traditional pizza idea, try some curry. Top your dough with your favorite curry, cheese, veggies, and meats.

Hot sauce will satisfy those with an appetite for some spice. Try making a buffalo pizza with hot sauce, chicken and bleu cheese crumbles.

Olive oil, garlic, and rosemary will give your pizza some tasty flare. Brush this mixture onto the dough and top with fresh mozzarella.
